When booking online tickets from the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation i.e. IRCTC, you pay through Net Banking, Debit and Credit Cards and Mobile Wallet. Through all these means, you have some charge. IRCTC has fixed certain charges related to the payment of the ticket. In this post we are telling you about the same charges that will give you information about all the charges while booking an online ticket.
Through Net Banking:
If you pay tickets via net banking, then according to different banks, you have to pay different charges. Customers of other banks, including SBI, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and Punjab National Bank, Indian Bank, have to pay an extra plus tax of 10 rupees. At the same time, Karnataka Bank has to pay 5 rupees plus tax. While there is no charge for payment through Indusland, Bank of Maharashtra, IDBI, South Indian Bank, City Union Bank.
Wallet / Cash Cards:
If you pay with digital wallet like Paytm Wallet, SBI Buddy, I Cash Card and Cash Cards, then you have to pay 1.80 per cent plus tax on online ticket payment. At the same time, payment from Airtel Money will cost 0.75%. Payment of I-Cash Card is to pay a transaction fee of 1.5 per cent. At the same time, payment of Ola Money will be 1.30% plus tax on payment.
Credit and debit card:
Most banks do not take any charge on payment of up to Rs. 1 lakh on payment of debit card or credit card. Apart from this, you can also take a ticket on the EMI. Payment by American Express card will have to be 1.8% charged. There is no charge for payment of up to Rs 1 lakh from Cotech Bank based Rupees debit card. At the same time, payment of HDFC Bank’s Visa / Master Credit Card will cost 1.8 per cent.
